Workplace Mediation - A New Service for MK

From March 2009, MKCMS is pleased to announce that it is launching its MK Mediation Works service for the use of Employers and Employees in the Milton Keynes area.

Our Aim

MK Mediation Works aims to help employees and employers who are in dispute to work together and to talk through the issues with a view to resolving them without litigation.

Do You Need Support ?

Is there an uncomfortable situation at work?

Do you feel angry, concerned, intimidated or isolated?

Have you been unable to make your feelings known?

Do you want to talk to the other person involved in an informal way?

Do you feel that you might not be listened to?

Are you committed to resolving the problem?

Please note our service is

Confidential - subject only to legal requirements, we do not pass on information without your permission

Impartial - we neither judge anyone nor take sides over an issue

Independent - we are not part of any other organisation and do not report to any other group

We would be very pleased to discuss any issue in strict confidence and without commitment. Our services are free to employees inquiring about issues and our charges to employers can be agreed in advance.

We are able to offer Mediation to resolve issues between individual employees; between employees and management/employers; and also between groups of employees, perhaps who are in conflict over work practices. We do not replace HR or Union roles, but offer an alternative way to help people resolve disputes for themselves.

To discuss our services, you may contact us direct on 01908 200828 or by email at mkcms@mkcommediation.org.uk. We would arrange to see you at a time and place suitable to you. This can be at the workplace or at a neutral location, such as at our offices in Central MK. Employees might prefer an initial meeting at their own home, and we can organize this, too.

Please remember that Mediation is entirely voluntary and not a legally binding process. You always have the right to seek independent legal advice
