There is Bletchley, a town that is undergoing major regeneration, but offers traditional high street shopping and has shops that aren't going to break the bank.

There is Buckingham, which is a bit further afield but is worth a visit just so you can feel the atmosphere of this vibrant Georgian market town.

There is Newport Pagnell which is a beautiful old coaching town which offers a mix of arcade shopping and a traditional sweet shop, as well as craft and jewellery shops.

There is lovely Olney, which is set on the edge of Buckinhamshire, and is known for it's specialist, independent shops. The locals are proud of the town's traditions such as the annual town pancake race.

There is Stony Stratford, where history surrounds you as you shop. It is known as the 'jewel of Milton Keynes,' a term coined by local historian Frank Markham.

There is Woburn Sands, which lies on the border of Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire and retains the charm of a half urban, half rural village.

Lastly, there is Wolverton, which is an old railway town which still has a working railway station, which makes it easy to get too and also links locals to Milton Keynes and Northampton.
