(With apologies to Tennyson) Could England win again? Could we once more attain Par with his holy name, Blessed saint Ramsey? O how we groaned and cursed! Right from the very first They played the very worst, Awkward and clumsy. Soon every chance was done, T-shirts and flags are gone. Now we must dwell upon Chances they squandered. In four years time, we'll see, But realistically What will their chances be, One in six hundred? Dave Whippman |
