Race For Life 2010MILTON KEYNES women are being urged to enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and share amazing moments as they become part of the biggest female-only team in the UK. And the charity is asking them to recruit their friends, family and colleagues now that entry to the Milton Keynes event is officially open. Race for Life is the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event series where all the money raised goes to fund Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work. This year Race for Life in Milton Keynes takes place on Saturday, June 5th, at 11.00am and Sunday June 6th at 11.00am at Campbell Park. Last year 5933 women walked, jogged or ran the event which took place for the 14th. time in the town and raised an incredible £373,383. In 2010, organisers are encouraging 7,000 women to put their best feet forward and raise £424.000. Race for Life 2010 is going to be full of amazing moments for everyone as women of all ages and fitness abilities join together to walk, jog or run 5k to help beat cancer. Milton Keynes participants will be part of a total of 700,000 women taking part in over 230 events across the UK between May and July. Cancer Research UK hopes that together they will raise a total of £60 million to fund the charity’s life saving work. The Milton Keynes Race For Life on the Sunday, June 6th, is one of only 38 Race for Life events across the UK where women will have the chance to take on a new challenge by doubling their distance to 10k. This year Cancer Research UK is encouraging 1,500 women to enter Race for Life at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes. When they register they will have the option to take part in the 10k course, without having to pay an additional entry fee.
